Head over Heels by Dune Pallace Platform Chelsea Boots (sold out)
I’m a huge fan of Chelsea boots; I currently have around 8 pairs within my collection and so I was thrilled when I was asked to review a pair of Platform Chelsea Boots by Dune, available at House of Fraser.
Unfortunately, they have since sold out which is a real bummer, however i’ve picked out a couple of other ankle boots from the same range which have also caught my eye, such as the Paseo Flat Leather Chelsea Ankle Boots
and the Prince Metal Zip Cleat Boots.
I’d say the heels are a good 4 inches or so, with a 1 inch concealed platform, which makes it pretty easy to walk in. My only gripe with the boots are that they are a standard fit, which is bad news for my wide feet! That aside, they still managed to do up at the zip and were somewhat comfortable. Seeing as the material is soft, I may buy one of those shoe stretchers for ease of comfort.
I paired the heels with some opaque Pretty Polly Curve
tights and this AX Paris Skater Dress
from Simply Be
. In the past I’d always been a tad anxious about purchasing anything from AX Paris as I find that their sizes can sometimes be quite all over the place. I normally find that I have to size up by a couple of sizes – I don’t know if it’s due to the material they use or what, but It can be quite frustrating when I’ve ordered before, only to end up returning it as it was a tad too tight. Luckily I purchased this dress at the Simply Be Store in Oxford St where I had a chance to try it on first so it was all good. When purchasing dresses, I normally tend to go for skater/fit and flare dresses as I like to create some sort of a nipped in/waist effect primarily. This is a great dress that can be worn on all occasions; whether it be the office, or worn with trainers on a day out, or at night bare legged with a pair of heels.
