Hello Bardot
I must say, I’m pretty new to the whole bardot cut thing.
I used to stay clear of it as A) I used to be very very self conscious of my shoulder stretchmarks and B) As I’m larger on top than I am at the bottom, I feared that wearing showing which showed off my shoulders would only emphasize it.
Well lads, times change and at the moment I’m feeling quite secure and have accepted my stretchmarks as being a part of me. I am not perfect; I have fat and stretchmarks and scars but they all tell a story and they don’t make me any less of a person than anyone else. What better way to show them off then through this gorgeous Orange Print Bardot Dress by River Island Plus. The plus size collection offered by River Island just keep getting better and better and I couldn’t be more happy with this purchase. Roll on more bardot cut pieces this summer!
Style notes
The dress is true to size, however the neckline does have a tendency to rise to right above the neck if you have large arms like myself. The dress sits just about 3 inches from my knees and for reference, i am 5’7. The arm space is very generous.
